Cotton Candy Revolution

Back in Italy in the 1400´s was created a treat that was called spun sugar, this was made basically by melting sugar into a pan and then use a fork to create strings of sugar and when the strings were dry they would serve them as a desert, of course there was a lot of work and time involved; later, around 1897, William Morrison and John C. Wharton, created the first cotton candy machine that would melt the sugar and use centrifugal force to push the melted sugar through a screen to create the strands of sugar, after the strands were collected into a pan or bowl they were twirled onto paper or cardboard ready to be served.
