Do you remember the good old days? When your parents would take you to the carnival or fair and as soon you walked closer and closer you could see the flashing lights and hear the children screaming. When you inhaled you could smell all that sweet goodness from the Concession Stand where the hotdogs are roasting, to pizza cooking, in the concession equipment and then you would walk past and see the people making cotton candy in cotton candy machines. Then you would tell your parents you wanted something only to stand in line at the concession stand and not be able to make up your mind with the array of options you had. The funnel cakes with the powdered sugar and fruit on top. Yeah those were the good old days. Well nothing has much changed besides the rides have gotten a little scarier .
Now a days you can still enjoy most of the good old fashion treats such as the cotton candy, home made corndogs, pizza slices, old fashioned hamburgers, hotdogs, turkey legs need I mention more? The carnival and fairs are good family oriented fun where the parents can let loose and enjoy watching their children have a good time and remember the good old days and make more memories with their children. Teaching our children what is good family fun just like the kind we had when we were young and growing up and we still are young at heart. You can never outgrow carnivals and fairs its just in our genes it is who we are and where we come from.
Getting back to the sweet delicious goodies is it not just wonderful when you can take your children and grandchildren and stand them their and let them watch the people make them their very own cotton candy and the joy on their faces when they take that first bite and it melts in their mouth. What a joyful time for all from enjoying the rides with the children when they get on and then get in line again and ride to their hearts content. It is a wonderful site to see the children smiling and enjoying themselves and to be able to capture that and embrace all those unforgettable moments that will live on for as long as we are around from children to grandchildren and so on and so forth. So go out enjoy some time on the fair grounds or at the carnival you only live once so let loose every now and again.
So remember when the next carnival or fair comes around do not hesitate to join in on the fun. I am sure that if you have children and or grandchildren or just that special someone they will enjoy spending time with you at the fair or carnival and do not forget to stop at the Concession Stand and go all out and give yourself and your special family your most favorite snack or childhood treat. The family fun and important memories are waiting to be brought back to life or waiting to be made with the special people in your life. Do not forget to get on the carousel which has been around since I can remember and take lots of pictures so those special moments can be cherished for a lifetime.

Cotton Candy Revolution
Back in Italy in the 1400´s was created a treat that was called spun sugar, this was made basically by melting sugar into a pan and then use a fork to create strings of sugar and when the strings were dry they would serve them as a desert, of course there was a lot of work and time involved; later, around 1897, William Morrison and John C. Wharton, created the first cotton candy machine that would melt the sugar and use centrifugal force to push the melted sugar through a screen to create the strands of sugar, after the strands were collected into a pan or bowl they were twirled onto paper or cardboard ready to be served.
